LA School for Math, Science & the Arts

State Project 19-657-02B-03: Renovation of the Annex, Existing Auditorium and Cafeteria for the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches, LA is part of a five year growth plan for the LSMSA. For Pat Williams Construction, this project involved the removal of the existing Physical Plant Building for Northwestern State University to provide a space for the new Center for Performance and Technology. The CPT building is a two story, 50,000 SF building that includes a Recital Hall, Black Box Theatre, The Louisiana Virtual School, a Cafeteria, Café and classrooms for the Science Department. In addition, an existing building that formerly housed the Natchitoches Trade School was gutted and rebuilt to house the new Arts Department. This two story building, over 100 years old, is being approached as a historical restoration project on the exterior and will become a modern facility on the inside with facilities for ceramics, photography, art studios, 8 sound proof music practice rooms, 4 music studios, and several choral practice areas.
