I have been working in the commercial and industrial construction field for over 12 years. I worked for a commercial and industrial contractor for the majority of my career that self-performed most of their work. I began working as a laborer, and advanced to a carpenter, and then to a carpenter foreman. I spent years mentoring under senior superintendents. After years of mentorship, I was promoted to a superintendent and spent the majority of my career as a superintendent.
While working construction I was also pursuing a college degree. I received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Southeastern Louisiana University. I began to love the construction industry and the satisfaction of completing a project. I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Indiana State University. It has been challenging pursuing a second degree while working full time with a family, and I am excited I am close to completing this degree. After a year into my second degree, I was offered a project management position. During this time, I worked closely with two senior project managers and am grateful for the knowledge I was able to obtain during this time. I am excited to be a part of the team at Pat Williams Construction today and am grateful to work with a knowledgeable, dedicated, and caring team.
